生命科学联合中心是为了加速我国一流大学建设，在国家支持下由教育部、科技部、财政部设计、组织，清华大学与北京大学密切配合，按照“统一领导、顶层设计、强强联合、务实发展、动态调整”的原则组建的，是科研和教育体制改革的重大措施。目标是通过改革教育和科研的相关制度，吸引与汇聚热心教育的优秀科学家，以出色的理论教学和尖端的研究并重，培养拔尖创新人才，造就一流的生命科学研究与教育中心。

为促进生命科学发展，探索创新性人才培养模式，生命中心每年利用暑假时间，面向全国高校本科生，甄选生命科学中的特别领域，举办暑期培训班。暑期培训班将充分发挥生命中心两校联合、师资与科研上的优势，并延请国内外知名学者，以激发学生兴趣，培育未来精英为目标，让学生在培训中了解领域内前沿问题，开拓思路，引导创新性的思维习惯。

其中，定量生物学暑期班是这些培养活动中的重要组成。定量生物学是一门结合数学、统计学和计算方法来研究生物系统和过程的跨学科领域，旨在通过数据驱动的模型揭示生命现象的规律。欢迎全国有志于加入生命科学交叉科学前沿队伍的化学、生物、物理、数学、计算机、医学、电子信息及工学等各学科的在读本科生积极报名。

三、费用

本培训不向学生收取任何培训费用，帮助安排食宿，路费自理。

“定量生物学”面向全国高校内对定量生物学有浓厚兴趣，有志从事定量生物学相关领域研究的在读本科生（需完成大学一年级或二年级课程的物理、数学、计算机、生信、生物等专业的学生），生命中心将根据学生背景和报名情况，择优录取。

此外，7月21-24日(21日报到，24日离会)，国际定量生物学会议Q-Bio Conference将在北大举行，定量生物学暑期班的优秀学员将获得免注册费和食宿费用参与该会议的机会。
