<span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"> 电子系建有“电子科学与技术”一级学科硕士学位点和“电子信息”工程博士点，涵盖物理电子学与光电子学、电磁场与微波技术、智能信号与信息处理等研究领域。2016年“电子科学与技术”入选广东省优势重点学科，2018年获批“电子科学与技术”一级学科学硕点，2022年获批“电子信息”专硕点，2024年获批“电子信息”专博点。“电子科学与技术”学科在软科的学科排名已进入全国前30，且逐年稳步提升，在泰晤士2024年度中国学科评级中获评为A。</span>

<span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"> 电子系以科研平台建设为重要抓手，在光电智感、新型显示、半导体器件、智能传感器、激光技术、光纤通信、太赫兹技术、5G/6G、无线网络与通信、卫星通信、智能机器人、人工智能及其应用、多媒体信息处理、车联网、智能微电网等方向开展科学研究，为加快建设世界科技强国、实现高水平科技自立自强贡献力量。已建设科研平台22个，其中全国重点实验室（共建）1个、省部级科研平台4个、市级/区级重点实验室9个、校企联合实验室8个。近5年，承担各类纵向/横向科研项目260余项，总经费约3.12亿元。</span>
