                                        <span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">2006年4月，系统生物医学研究院在上海交通大学创建的“系统生物医学一类重大科技创新平台”背景下正式成立。研究院集生物、医学、理化、工程、数学和信息等多学科交叉于一体，围绕国家重大医学需求，以系统生物学研究策略和方法为基础，大力推动基础研究与临床医学相结合的转化医学和精准医学研究，促进相关疾病的新型预防、诊断和治疗技术，以及药物的创新性研究，力争为人类医学向后基因组时代的预测、预防、个体化和参与性（4P）医学转变做出重要贡献。</span>

                                        <span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">学院位于上海交大闵行校区，拥有近20000平米的独立研究大楼，建设有完善的基因组、蛋白质组和代谢组学平台；特色的蛋白芯片、单细胞分析、高通量药物筛选、显微成像、化学合成、病理模型等技术平台，以及信息分析与整合平台，重点从事肿瘤、代谢及神经性疾病的发病机制、诊断、治疗与预防研究，以及中草药、药物筛选与靶向作用机制研究，积极推动我国系统生物医学交叉学科体系建立与发展。2009年以研究院为主要依托单位的系统生物医学教育部重点实验室通过教育部验收，同时研究院是“系统生物医学国家级国际联合研究中心”“转化医学创新引智基地”（即111计划）“转化医学国家重大基础设施”的参与建设单位。在教育部第四轮和第五轮学科评估中与上海交大生命学院共同完成生物学评估均获得A+。</span>
