<span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"> 力学与航空航天工程系成立于 2015 年 12 月，是南科大工学院重点建设院系之一。力学与航空航天工程系充分借鉴世界一流大学相关院系的办学模式，面向国家在力学、航空航天、创新拔尖人才培养等方面的战略需求，立足于重要前沿基础研究和应用基础研究，目标是成为国际化的研究型机构。力学与航空航天工程系将引进创新办学体制，建设世界一流水平的、以“产学研”模式为中心的、与中国航空航天工业紧密联系的单位，为我国航空航天工业培养实用人才（学）、研发关键技术（研）、提供技术服务（产）。</span>

<span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"> 力学与航空航天工程系聚集了一批来自全球相关领域、涵盖学术和工业背景的高层次专业人员。目前，力航系拥有教学研究序列教师28人，包括中国科学院和工程院院士3人，国际著名学会会士10人和各类国家级人才项目获得者20人。现有“理论与应用力学”和“航空航天工程”两个本科专业。2018 年 5 月获教育部力学一级学科硕士、博士学位授权点。2019年获批力学博士后流动站和深圳市孔雀团队项目。设有“广东省湍流基础研究与应用重点实验室”、“粤港澳数据驱动下的流体力学与工程应用联合实验室”、“深圳市航空航天复杂流动重点实验室”、“深圳市航空发动机军工重点实验室”、“深圳市跨尺度制造力学重点实验室” 、“深圳市航空燃烧技术服务平台”和“深圳市软材料力学与智造重点实验室”。</span>
